Project Manager
to join our team and help lead day-to-day operations.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will coordinate projects from start to finish -- overseeing mold repairs, new tool builds, and fabrication jobs -- while managing customer communication, scheduling, and cost tracking. This role requires strong technical understanding of tooling, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to lead projects in a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Take direction from senior management and follow through on priorities and deadlines
Create daily work schedules and relay instructions to shop personnel
Troubleshoot issues and make informed decisions on the fly
Coordinate trucking and logistics while considering company cost and efficiency
Communicate directly with customers, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction
Identify new business opportunities and maintain customer relationships
Oversee and assist with repairs and troubleshooting of plastic injection molds, diecast molds, and trim dies
Complete customer checklists and TTRs (Tooling Trouble Reports)
Record detailed notes and documentation in
Epicor
for billing and traceability
Design and execute fabrication and assembly projects
Perform job costing and assist in quoting new builds, repairs, and fabrication work
Manage shipping and receiving, enter orders, and generate job travelers
Qualifications
Experience in a
tool & die, moldmaking, or machining environment
(required)
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Working knowledge of
Epicor
(or other ERP systems) an asset
Ability to read blueprints and understand manufacturing processes
Practical understanding of machining, mold assembly, and tooling design principles
Valid driver's license
