This role will be in-person and based in either downtown

where Urban Solar is considering establishing a downtown office. Candidates preferring to work in Vancouver must be willing to travel to Victoria to visit our head office as required.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Project Manager at Urban Solar, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of off-grid technology infrastructure projects for public transportation agencies across North America. You will collaborate across engineering, operations, sales, and customer teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction from project initiation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management for multiple concurrent projects.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and scope documentation
Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, and sales) to ensure timely project delivery within project parameters
Manage client communications, providing regular updates and ensuring clear expectations
Facilitate software and hardware/installation training sessions for a variety of stakeholders
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and budgets
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and contractual requirements
Support proposal development and resource planning for upcoming projects
Develop project management processes, resources and tools to ensure organization, efficiency and consistent high quality customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
Track project metrics, prepare post-project evaluations for continuous improvement, and implement lessons learned.
Foster collaboration and problem-solving within cross-functional teams
Support Urban Solar's business development team during the sales process to ensure cross-functional communication and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience managing projects, ideally in public sectors, engineering, renewable energy, construction, or technology
Diploma or degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
PMP certification
is preferred, but relevant experience is more highly valued
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PMBOK) and tools (e.g. Asana)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with budget management, client reporting, and vendor coordination
Legally authorized to work in Canada; sponsorship is not available for this position
Ability to travel to the United States to support projects as required
Skills That Make You Stand Out
Experience leading projects involving public agencies or infrastructure
Familiarity with renewable energy systems, electrical components, or solar technology
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Technical proficiency in documentation, scheduling, and reporting tools
