to lead and coordinate commercial or residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The Project Manager is responsible for following budgets, scheduling, quality control, subcontractor management, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
o Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and manage budgets.
o Coordinate and supervise all construction activities from start to finish.
o Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure plans are followed.
Team & Subcontractor Management
o Schedule, and manage subcontractors and labor crews.
o Lead internal project teams, including site superintendents and field staff.
o Hold regular progress meetings with teams and stakeholders.
Budget & Cost Control
o Monitor and control project costs to meet budget.
o Review and approve material and subcontractor invoices and change orders.
Scheduling & Coordination
o Maintain project timelines and adjust schedules as needed.
o Coordinate material deliveries and ensure availability of necessary equipment.
o Identify potential delays and implement mitigation strategies.
Quality & Safety
o Ensure compliance with safety protocols and Worksafe BC regulations.
o Conduct site inspections and enforce quality control standards.
o Resolve on-site issues promptly to prevent project delays.
Communication & Reporting
o Serve as the main point of contact between clients, consultants, and company leadership.
o Provide regular updates and progress reports.
o Prepare documentation such as RFIs, submittals, daily logs, and closeout packages.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of progressive experience in construction project management.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:

Ability to work in office and field environments in all weather conditions.
May require working overtime or weekends during peak project phases.
