The team is looking for a Senior Finance and Accounting Project Manager to support IFRS Planning and Readiness project. The individual will be managing two projects (IFRS9/7 & IFRS 18) with two different teams to implement new standards and ensure all processes meet new requirements.

Typical Day in Role:
Project Planning & Definition:
o Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining phases, activities, milestones, and timelines for IFRS readiness. o Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology, and Operations to identify impacted areas and requirements. o Conduct detailed task breakdowns and effort estimations. o Define required resources (human, technological, financial) and assess investment needs for the planning phase.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
o Lead regular stakeholder meetings to gather input, validate assumptions, and build consensus. o Present project status updates to the Operating Committee and facilitate decision-making. o Prepare executive-level summaries and recommendations for the Executive Steering Committee to ensure alignment and secure approvals.
Project Governance & Control
Develop and maintain key project artifacts including:
o Detailed Project Plan o RAID Log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) o Stakeholder Register o Communication Plan o Meeting Minutes and Action Item Trackers
Monitor progress against the plan, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions.
Facilitate issue resolution and escalation as needed.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
5+ years of experience in project management within Finance or Accounting domains.
Experience with implementing IFRS standards
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (eg. Preparing PowerPoint presentation)
2+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex initiatives
Proficiency with MS tools (e.g. Excel)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
Project management experience within banking industry
Experience with IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 9, 7, and 18
Soft Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business management or related field
Best VS. Average Candidate:
The ideal candidate would have strong experience in implementing IFRS standards and would have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
