Ontario Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the execution and delivery of key initiatives that support the advancement of central waitlist management across the province. This role plays a critical part in implementing provincial strategies to establish clinical, surgical, and diagnostic imaging central intake hubs, ensuring timely access to care and improved patient outcomes.
Here is what you will be doing:Lead the planning, design, and implementation of strategic projects aligned with Ontario Health's priorities.
Manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects from initiation through to operationalization--on time, within scope, and on budget.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Identify and manage interdependencies, risks, and issues across multiple workstreams.
Provide regular updates and escalate concerns to project sponsors and senior leadership as needed.
Facilitate working groups and stakeholder committees to inform implementation and future-state planning.
Support the development of a funding model to enable regional investments in central intake infrastructure.
Prepare high-quality documentation including charters, business cases, briefing notes, and executive presentations.
Ensure alignment with EPMO standards and contribute to the development of repeatable frameworks for future initiatives.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, Technology, Informatics, or a related field (required).
Master's degree and/or PMP certification considered strong assets.
5-7 years of progressive project management experience in healthcare or hospital environments.
Proven success leading provincial or enterprise-level change initiatives.
Experience with strategy development, health services planning, and quality improvement.
Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects with budgets exceeding $10M.
Familiarity with central intake or scheduling environments is an asset.
Knowledge and SkillsStrong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to navigate complex systems and build consensus across diverse teams.
Excellent communication skills--both written and verbal.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Comfortable working in ambiguity and driving clarity through collaboration.
