We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team and keep our projects running smoothly. The Project Manager has the ability to work remotely and in person, with regular travel to work sites using their own vehicle. This position reports to our Partner, Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project plans, and ensure timely completion of project milestones
Monitor projects for issues and proactively mitigate any risks and keep all projects on track
Manage budgets, generate client reports with support from Accounting
Build scope of work documents
Track approvals and change requests
Coordinate project meetings with, and schedule our, customers, designers, sub-contractors, and in-house build team
Record meeting minutes, decisions and track action items
Professional and effective communication between all project parties ensuring both concerns and best interests of the company and the project are met
Continually review project requirements with team leads and Director, Operations to ensure the project is built to the expected and required standard
Work with Partner, Operations to analyze architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings and perform take offs with support from the Orders Management coordinator
Work with Director, Operations to tender, assess, negotiate and award contracts
Maintain appropriate records of approvals, drawings, and permits
Support Team Leads for the procurement of materials and equipment
Skills and qualifications:
Experience in creating and maintaining MS Project Plans; knowledge of Wrike is an asset
Experience in budget tracking
Proficient with running multiple projects simultaneously
Adept at communication and client reporting
Experience in order procurement
Ability to read and work from building plans, with a working knowledge of the OBC
Proficiency in the residential construction and renovation industry with general experience in all facets of the building process
Experience with Construction Management
Full class G driver's License
Knowledge of Quickbooks is an asset
Project Management certification is an asset
