As a Project Manager, you are responsible for projects requiring considerable resources and functional integration within your account(s). You manage full suite (strategic planning, creative, and technical/production) advertising and marketing solutions through a large multidisciplinary team. You will focus on supporting the team to provide/produce the best quality deliverable - meaning putting the pieces together and removing/problem solving any roadblocks to success.




Working in lockstep with your Business Leadership Team, you have a clear understanding of all goings-on, and ensure that everyone on the team knows what they are doing, when they are doing it, and the role that it plays in the bigger picture.

Responsibilities:

Process and Protocol

: + In charge of project planning and timeline management. Develop full schedule of projects with relevant stakeholders.
+ Ensure the workflow, processes and resources are in place to ensure best completion of project on time and on budget.
+ Develop and/or refine working processes to help drive further integration of McCann and Partner agencies
+ Manage and oversee integrated process between Agency, Clients, Partners and Vendors
+ Prepare, coordinate, track and traffic all interim and final deliverables with the Account, Creative, and Production teams, as required - to align with objectives and project deliverables
+ Owns all specs, Assets Matrices, and Trafficking Documentation
+ Proactively identifies and tracks project risk and develops mitigation plans

Project resourcing and scope management

: + Define resource needs and requirements and discuss resource needs with resource manager/ dept. leads. within the defined fee / SOW allocated to the project
+ Prioritizing & managing projects to maintain service level, navigating through difficult situations & timelines,
+ In charge of time tracking, labor forecasting, time transfers

Quality Control

: + Manage projects with the consistent high quality and integrity that is the trademark of McCann. Maintain a clear vision of the direction of all projects and keep production focused in that direction. Ensure programs, policies, practices are well managed to protect brand & agency standards.
+ Identify solutions to technical, creative, budget and timeline issues to allow delivery of breakthrough work
+ Oversee the accuracy and quality of agency product and participate in QA and approvals for all project and programs, as required

Internal flow of information

: + Manage and communicate status to the internal project team, and ensure that issues and risks are properly identified, considered, escalated, and resolved
+ Plan, organize and schedule creative reviews internally. Ensure all parties are aware of the plan and all milestones.
+ Manage file sharing throughout the process to ensure working files, decks, etc are saved to the relevant folders

Required Experience:

5+ years project management experience, with an excellent understanding of digital and social assets / print / TV process

Complete knowledge of start-to-finish project tasks across the multiple disciplines, with demonstrated ability managing full project portfolios

Demonstrated understanding of advanced principles of project management Proficient managing and controlling: project scope, schedule, budget and resource management / reporting and change management, project roadmap development and revenue forecasting

Ability to handle numerous planned and unplanned projects, initiatives, roles, and responsibilities

Post-secondary education - Diploma or Degree - preferred (will consider relevant work experience)

Advanced skills in MS Project, MS Office, as well as spreadsheet
