Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled

Project Manager

with a strong

technology background, delivery expertise, and proven leadership experience

. The ideal candidate will bring

8-10 years of solid experience

managing complex technology initiatives in either the

private or public sector

, with deep understanding of

system design, architecture, APIs, and microservices

. In addition to core project management capabilities, this role requires

familiarity with AI technologies

such as

OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, GitHub Copilot, GPT, and other language models

, and the ability to demonstrate

productivity realization using AI within project management practices

.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets. Manage projects involving

system design, architecture, APIs, and microservices integration

. Apply

systems thinking and problem-solving skills

to navigate complex challenges and interdependencies. Drive productivity and efficiency by

leveraging AI technologies (e.g., OpenAI, Bedrock, Copilot, GPT)

in project planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Demonstrate

practical use of AI tools

in project management (e.g., automating reporting, enhancing decision-making, improving backlog prioritization). Lead and coach

Agile/Scrum teams

, facilitating ceremonies and fostering collaboration. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes. Promote strong governance, risk management, and delivery excellence across all projects. Build strong, collaborative relationships with technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8-10 years of solid project management experience

in technology-driven initiatives. Strong

technical background

with expertise in

design, architecture, APIs, and microservices

. Proven track record of

delivery experience

in either the

private or public sector

. Excellent

problem-solving, systems thinking, and critical reasoning

skills. Strong

soft skills

, including communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management. Demonstrated ability to

lead Scrum teams

and work as an

excellent team player

. Hands-on experience using

AI tools and language models

in professional settings. Ability to showcase

productivity gains

achieved through AI-enabled project management practices.

Good to Have

PMP certification

(or equivalent). Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML deployment models. Experience with productivity tools enhanced by AI (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Jira plugins with AI).
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $70,091.08-$120,780.58 per year

Toronto, ON M8Z 1R8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
