About The Role:
We are seeking
one to two (1-2) experienced Project Manager(s)
to join our team in
St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
, supporting capital and operating projects at electrical terminal station sites in Labrador.

. You will coordinate project teams, manage contractors and consultants, and collaborate with stakeholders to keep scope, schedule, cost, and risk aligned with project objectives--while maintaining a strong focus on
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
excellence.
Normal hours for this work scope are
37.5 hours per week
, Monday to Friday from
8:30am to 4:30pm
. Work will be performed from
St. John's, NL
, with
regular travel to Labrador
and other site locations as required.
This is a
1-year contract role
with an anticipated start date of January 5, 2026, and end date of December 31, 2026 (with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance).

Key Responsibilities
Lead terminal station projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, on-time, and within budget
Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and reporting updates for leadership
Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure designs, specifications, and deliverables meet applicable codes and standards
Prepare, review, and support tendering activities, including participation in contract evaluations and award processes
Manage project teams including internal resources, contractors, and consultants to meet project objectives
Complete regular site visits to support teams, monitor construction progress, and verify work execution
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while maintaining an active risk register throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain strong stakeholder communication and ensure scope, schedule, and budget changes are captured and controlled
Review and approve technical documentation including commissioning procedures and terminal station electrical designs
Ensure contractors follow site safety requirements and align with applicable HSE policies and safety management plans
Support development of technical specifications for major terminal station equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers)
Lead project closeout and transition completed assets to operations
Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement and best practice sharing
Submit timesheets and documentation in accordance with project requirements
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and eligible for registration (or registered) with a Canadian provincial engineering association (Newfoundland and Labrador registration preferred)
PMP certification is considered an asset
Minimum
7 years
of progressive project management and/or engineering experience on high-voltage electrical projects (terminal stations and transmission systems preferred)
Demonstrated experience managing complex high-voltage equipment projects (e.g., power transformers, CTs/VTs, circuit breakers, disconnect switches)
Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams (electrical, civil, mechanical) and collaborating across design and construction
Experience working on operational or industrial sites, including contractor supervision and adherence to strict safety requirements
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and dynamic project environments
Additional Requirements / Conditions of Employment
Valid Canadian driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract
Satisfactory criminal record check
Education verification (as required)
Fit-for-work clearance (as required)
Valid certifications (or willingness to obtain) including:
WHMIS 2015, Emergency First Aid, Defensive Driving, Powerline Hazards, Confined Space Awareness, and Fall Protection
