Skills and Qualifications
1.5+ years of related work experience as a Project Manager or in a similar direct managerial/supervisory role.

Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering or related discipline an asset.

Proven experience in managing new build commercial and residential construction projects, within either a general contracting or subcontracting capacity, with a strong emphasis on exterior work/siding.

Expert knowledge of exterior construction techniques, materials, building codes, and regulations.
*
Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, costs, budgets and current construction practices and methodology.
*
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and interpret stakeholder needs and identify solutions to non-routine queries.

Capable of anticipating constructibility issues in moderate to complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
*
Strong negotiation skills: ability to influence and persuade others to reach a consensus.

A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating and coaching.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Ability to work outdoors and handle physical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Include planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling the project follow and timelines.

Budget and cost management: Create and manage project budgets, approve invoices, and oversee material and equipment costs to maintain profitability.

Creating / maintaining a network of external contractors and negotiating contracts for scopes of work.
*
Conduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting, and project planning and management processes.
*
Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence, working closely with Management Team and Site Supervisors.
Crew and subcontractor management: Schedule in-house crews and subcontractors to insure projects have been allotted sufficient time and resources for timely completion.
Quality control: Insure work in progress and completed projects to ensure they meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, building codes, and client expectations.

Client and stakeholder communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, handle change orders, and provide status reports. Also, coordinate with sales, vendors, and other internal teams.

Safety and compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols on job sites and ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and codes. Problem-solving: Proactively identify potential project risks and challenges, and implement effective resolutions to keep projects on track.

Training support: Collaborate with the Management team to provide installation training and assist with technical questions.
*
Project closeout: Conduct final walk-throughs with customers and handle any final repairs or punch list items.

Working Conditions:
This is an office, home & site-based, role located in Salmon Arm BC and surrounding areas.
*
Must be willing to travel within British Colombia and Alberta.
*
A valid driver's license, clean driving abstract, and proof of insurance with a minimum $2M liability coverage are required.
