Project Manager – Software Product Acquisition / Technical Acquisition Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end transition of a SaaS/PaaS software product being acquired from an external company. This role is not responsible for negotiating the acquisition -- a broker is already managing that -- but will focus on the successful operational execution of the buyout, knowledge and tech transfer, SOP creation, documentation, and final closure.

The Project Manager will serve as the primary execution lead, working with internal teams, the broker, and the seller's transition team to ensure all aspects of the product's handover -- including tech stack, environments, documentation, user access, and process ownership -- are completed accurately and on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Create and implement a structured

SOP and project plan

for the software acquisition handover. Define, maintain, and monitor

transition checklists

, including: Infrastructure, hosting, source code, environments Documentation (technical, user, operational) DevOps pipelines, repos, build/deploy tools Licenses, accounts, subscriptions, and access rights Customer support processes (if relevant) Act as the

point of coordination

between the broker, seller's tech/product teams, and internal stakeholders (engineering, security, IT, compliance). Establish

timeline-based milestones

, track task completion, and ensure alignment with contractual obligations. Escalate risks or blockers, and proactively work to mitigate them. Maintain transparent

status updates and closure reports

to leadership. Ensure a

complete, verifiable, and operationally sound transition

by the end of the process. Experience with atleast one M&A project in tech/software space Candidate must have experience in payments space - card issuing, payments acquiring Previous experience on projects with TSYS In addition to the stakeholders listed, they will also need to work with HR, compliance/risk, finance and bizops teams

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



5-10 years of experience in

technical project management

or software product delivery. Experience in

technology acquisition

,

product migration

, or

platform transition

projects. Strong knowledge of

cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, DevOps

, and modern software engineering practices. Excellent documentation and process management skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, IT security, product, and engineering. PMP, Prince2, or Agile certifications a plus. Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Experience:
