Job Responsibilities:

Take full responsibility for the initiation and preparation of assigned projects, including contract and drawing reviews, schedule planning, and leading kickoff meetings; ensure all administrative permits are in place. Supervise on-site construction activities, develop project execution plans, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and promptly handle any unexpected site issues. Strictly enforce WorkSafeBC and other regulatory requirements, ensure safety training, job hazard analysis (JHA), and incident response procedures are properly implemented to achieve zero site injuries. Ensure construction quality by organizing inspections and final handover, and ensure project outcomes meet design standards and client expectations. Manage budgets and cost controls, review change orders, and work closely with the finance department to support timely project settlements. Maintain strong communication with clients, municipalities, environmental and safety authorities to support approvals, inspections, and documentation processes. Oversee project close-out, organize cleanup and review meetings, prepare project summary reports, and assist with client feedback and internal evaluations.

Job Requirements

Education: Diploma or higher in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related fields; Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or demolition project management; experience in asbestos-related projects is an asset; Professional Skills:Solid knowledge of construction procedures, BC building codes, and WorkSafeBC safety standards; Capable of independently preparing project plans, safety programs, and job hazard analyses (JHA); Strong site coordination, team management, and communication skills; Certificates: Management or construction-related certifications are an asset; Language: Proficient in English (spoken and written); Mandarin or Cantonese is a strong asset; Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and other project management tools; Other: Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license; ability to work on-site and adapt to flexible working hours.
