Position Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for tracking and facilitating Agile project delivery across software development teams. The role combines the responsibilities of Agile cross-team coordination, interdisciplinary facilitation, and project oversight to ensure the timely and effective delivery of high-quality software products. The role requires close collaboration with product owners, development teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitation Duties
Recommend and implement tools and techniques that enhance productivity and transparency.
Facilitate all Agile touchpoints, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Act as a servant leader to support and guide the development team in following Agile principles and practices.
Remove impediments and resolve conflicts that hinder team progress or productivity.
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum practices to foster continuous improvement and team autonomy.
Project Management Duties
Develop, manage, and monitor project plans, schedules and resource allocation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet defined requirements, quality standards, and deadlines.
Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication and regular status updates.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal standards and client requirements.
Team and Stakeholder Coordination
Serve as a key point of contact between the development team and external stakeholders.
Work with product owners to ensure that product backlogs are well-groomed, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and alignment with company goals.
Process Improvement
Continuously assess Agile maturity and identify areas for improvement in team workflows and project execution.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Scrum Master and/or Project Manager in a software development environment.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficient with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello).
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities..
PMP, CSM, PSM, or equivalent certification is an asset
