The Project Manager will play a number of different roles in actual practice: At an initiative level: leading and managing medium to large complexity projects consisting of multiple Agile teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the Agile teams. At a team level: playing a consultative role to help establish the appropriate people, process, tools, and coaching needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team. The Project Manager will also be required to act as the Scrum Master for teams requiring such support. In situations that require a hybrid Agile approach: using good judgement and skill to develop a project management approach that is suitable to achieve the project goals within designated project constraints. Proactively identify and escalate project issues and risks that require management or executive attention. Effectively and consistently manage progress reports on project accomplishments against milestones. Track and manage vendor delivery in accordance with objectives. Prepare progress reports for management. Team Management and Scrum Master duties: Ensure timely communication between project teams and their stakeholders Serve as single point of contact between internal FCC groups, external consultants/contractors, and management. Facilitate project meetings with appropriate internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies including the daily scrum, retrospectives, sprint planning, reviews and backlog refinement. Drive continuous improvement in the project management process by championing initiatives and implementing best practices.
