Mega Rebar, a rebar fabricator and distributor situated in Maple Ridge BC, is actively seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a
Project Manager
. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our facility is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment, computer hardware, and software.
Core Duties:
Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
Review and verify the accuracy of drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Deadline Management: Prioritize and manage work assignments to meet project deadlines and milestones, including coordination of specialty items.
Work closely with detailers/estimators, general contractors, engineers, installers, production managers and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure that rebar detailing meets design and safety standards.
Ensure Health & Safety practices are being followed on all sites and contribute to the advancement of a safe working environment.
Develop and maintain project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and make necessary adjustments.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to oversee fabrication processes, quality control measures, and adherence to safety standards.
Review final estimate and apply strategic cost factors where necessary.
Develop a bid preparation schedule identifying the tasks, assignments and deadlines.
Review and analyze actual project costing and production information against estimates and develop historical databases.
Establish and review list of work to be performed by subcontractors and coordinate all the rebar delivery between placers and General Contractor as required by site construction process.
Superb written and spoken communication skills.
A high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Responsible to implement industry practices and procedures that impact detailing department.
Assets:
ASA rebar software experience
Work Conditions
Office work in a newly built, clean, and air-conditioned building.
Driving to meet customers and to visit job sites
Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands.
Must be flexible to work early mornings and late evenings.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
5-7 years minimum experience as a Project Manager in the rebar fabrication industry.
Advanced computer skills and ability/willingness to learn different systems (i.e. aSa Studio, GoRebar, Bluebeam, etc.)
Must have rebar experience in Canada
