Join us as we build a knowledgeable and collaborative team that courageously changes how transit projects will be delivered.The Ontario Line Project-Wide Services team is seeking a Project Manager to join our Project Lands Management Team to assist in the management and oversight of all project properties as it relates to contractual compliance, issues resolution, risk mitigation, schedule management and to provide subject matter expertise on property matters during all stages of design, construction, commissioning and project close-out.What will I be doing?

  • Working with the Project Delivery Team, property acquisition team, and Internal and External stakeholders, coordinates Project Land delivery schedules, technical requirement inputs, property handover, and contractual obligations.
  • Works in conjunction with Metrolinx\'s other business units and various internal stakeholders and communicates effectively with agencies and other external stakeholders to define requirements, develop project implementation plans and monitor compliance.
  • Works closely with other function departments including but not limited to, property acquisitions, transportation and traffic, environmental, utilities, third party agreements and permits to ensure effective coordination for project delivery.
  • Assists in the development of risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and other schedule requirements.
  • Provide preliminary input to resolution of key technical and stakeholder issues and foster collaboration between Metrolinx and third-party stakeholders to mitigate risks, ensure communication and assist in major infrastructure and acquisition decisions.
  • Builds, develops, and maintains excellent relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders critical to the successful delivery of property requirements.
  • Coordinates and liases with consultants, contractors, internal stakeholders (e.g. GO Operations) and external stakeholders (e.g. municipalities, transit authorities, government agencies) on contract terms, timelines, deliverables, changes and other issues impacting project progress, quality, cost, and safety
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
  • Completion of a degree in urban planning, construction management, business or a related discipline - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management related to the planning, design, and construction of transit facilities, station infrastructure in relation to property.
  • Knowledge of property/land requirements, specific to transit infrastructure projects.
  • Experience during project implementation phase would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of railway corridor infrastructure and related construction projects to Ontario Line.
  • Project coordination methodologies to manage construction projects from start to completion; knowledgeable of procurement processes to identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills to evaluate and address contractor performance issues and recommend plans for improvement; to evaluate and address program impediments with the potential to disrupt or jeopardize the project and/or corporate objectives.
  • A valid Ontario Class G driver\'s license is required to travel to various site locations, meetings, operational facilities, etc. (approximately 5%). Must meet and maintain the corporate standard for a good driving record.
