Under high level direction from the President, the Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating projects stemming directly from the First Nations University of Canada's Mastercard Foundation project. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the design, development, and execution of strategic plans as it relates to the Mastercard Foundation projects while working collaboratively and respectfully with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the University



Duties:



Lead the Mastercard Foundation project from drafting schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation. Build and develop the project plan to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, and direction. Develop implementation/action (including flow charts) and evaluation plans for related projects. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget. Analyze project status and, if necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met. Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, providing contact on project status and changes. Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks. Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables. Report project outcomes and/or risks to management and direct and delegate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan. Provide timely communications and reporting regarding project risks, issues, and concerns. Manage project transition, closeout, evaluation, and lessons learned activities upon project completion.

Qualifications:



An undergraduate degree with five years of related project management experience along with previous budgetary experience. A designation in project management would be an asset. Strong commitment to building capacity. An understanding of project planning processes and management. Understand and be able to work in a flexible environment, working well under time pressures with simultaneous activities. Have superior communication skills written as well as verbal and non-verbal that will engage, inspire, and motivate key stakeholders. Attention to detail and the ability to follow tasks and ideas through to completion. A high degree of flexibility and adaptability.

Salary Range:

APT Salary - PG 5: $65,760 - $88,544
