The Project Manager will work with multi-disciplinary teams overseeing project staff and sub-contractors, providing guidance to ensure each project meets operational standards. This includes developing a detailed scope of work, budget and schedule, conducting risk management assessments and maintaining health, safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for budget development and adherence for all project phases. Accountable to identify all project stakeholders and determine their project involvement based on the project scope and complexity. Tracking of key project milestones as well as engineering and construction deliverables. Follow up and reforecasting of project schedule as required. Accountable for stakeholder communication and updating the project team of timeline or requirement changes. Responsible to determine and document a clear scope for all assigned projects, considering the needs of all project stakeholders. Responsible to manage all project documentation throughout the project life cycle. Responsible to present all projects at each decision gate for technical steering committee approval. Responsible to ensure all project deliverables meet project requirements as well as site standards.

Requirements

o 2 to 6 years of experience in a similar role, preferable within the mining or construction industries


o Experience with mechanical systems with some rotating and electrical projects


o Proficient with computers


o Knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of programs including MS Project


o Demonstrate an understanding of project management methodologies and principles


o Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting


o Must be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and meet project deadlines


o Demonstrate active listening and an ability to communicate technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders
