Tender Retail is looking for an energetic and passionate Software Development Project Manager (PM) to join our Professional Services team working on our product! Utilizing Software Development best practices, methodologies and process controls, the PM will be responsible for leading project teams, customers and third-parties to complete projects on time and within budget.
The Project Manager owns the successful delivery of our payment software solution implementation projects.
What your impact will bePreparing project plans, including schedule, budget and communications planning
Monitor progress to ensure alignment with plan
Maintaining strict scope management and ensuring proper change control processes are followed
Managing customer expectations and being accountable for the quality of the deliverables completed by the project team
Providing leadership and guidance to the project team members, consulting with other functional managers.
Providing timely and accurate communications to all project stakeholders
Following up on any outstanding receivables from the project in a timely manner
Manage change and risks to the project deliverables to reduce delays while limiting the impact on our customers and project timelines
Provide updates to management team and coworkers on customer/project status, proactively identifying issues and resolving or escalating as appropriate
Participate in discovery sessions with our external customers and internal technical team to determine the As-Is and To-Be states of their systems
Conduct post implementation project reviews. Capture and apply lessons learned for continuous process improvement
Responsible for preparing and reporting project forecast to management on an ongoing basis on all assigned projects
Participate to ensure that milestones and work in progress are approved according to contract acceptance criteria, invoiced on time, and paid in a timely manner
Perform project administration such as approval or routing of expenses, project time entry review, project plan updates, and invoice processing
What we are looking for3+ years of Software Development Project management experience
Experience in managing projects involving multiple customers and vendors
Experience working in a PMO and with a formal delivery methodology
What would make you stand outExperience in the payment industry in Canada, US and Europe
Experience implementing large retail / restaurant / or other chain retail payment or technology systems
PMP certification is an asset
Location/Travel
Tender Retail is based in Toronto, ON however this position has the opportunity to be remote based with the expectation of flexibility.
Travel could be required for some projects but no more than 10% of the time.
