Job Description

A Project Manager is wanted by a company in the Toronto, Ontario area via Robert Half with an immediate start date. In this role, you will manage various accounting functions and systems and should possess a true enthusiasm for keeping financial projects on schedule and creating successful outcomes. The Project Manager role advises with a team of Business Analysts in order to complete detailed requirements documentation, a responsibility that may involve data mapping to accounting systems for proper accounting and reporting of transactions. You\'ll need to bring a knack for cross-functional collaboration, as this role will require you to incorporate input and feedback from the accounting leadership team and from key participants in other functional areas. What you get to do every single day

- Develops efficient and effective work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation

- Creates governance approaches for the projects to ensure effective communication and issue resolution

- Interacts with business users to define and analyze business requirements

- Organizes priorities of concurrent project and support assignments and meets stakeholder expectations

- Besides managing project sponsor expectations and deciphering business drivers, you will recommend changes, when required, to project scope, timing, or resources to result in the delivery of strategic solutions

- Teams up with development staff to examine business requirements and business process design
- Have a background in business and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development

- Capable of conversing both orally and in writing to executive management, team members, business and technology professionals

- Having a Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification is a bonus

- Demonstrated success acting in a project management capacity

- Experience with project management software like Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications required

- Able to exercise independent judgement and act on it

- Candidates with previous experience working with or in an accounting function with a key role in system projects may be best suited for this role

- Project management experience desired

- The ideal candidate should be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance & Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
