Job Summary
As a Project Manager with over 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for business development/proposals, project management, and project delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure planning projects in the Canadian and International markets with specific focus on the Ontario market. In general, the types of projects will vary but may include Master Plans, Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, Secondary Plans and System Capacity Assessments. The types of projects as a minimum may include Hydraulic Modelling (Water & Wastewater, primarily), Hydraulic Transient (Surge) Analysis, Servicing Needs Assessments, GIS Data Review, Development Engineering Support (Site Plan Review), Detailed Design Support (Pumping Stations and Linear Works), Integration with our SCADA team, and Asset Management planning.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Identify new business opportunities, build and maintain key customer relationships and assist with increasing current market position. Lead business development and proposal pursuits. Directly involved in the preparation of proposals (technical and financial).
Manage and actively participate in planning projects.
Provide direction to the modelling teams throughout all phases of a project. Review hydraulic modelling analysis and engineering reports.
Liaise with the various municipal /approval agencies.
Responsible for the financial management of projects, project schedules, and client communications.
Participate in company-wide quality initiatives and improvements through quality objectives such as facilitating departmental-level quality plans and procedures.
Mentor intermediate team members.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Consideration given to working on opportunities outside of the GTA, Ontario and Internationally.
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P. Eng.).
Minimum of 10+ years of municipal infrastructure design for Public Sector projects (with some emphasis on Southern Ontario and Canada).
Familiarity with local planning/approval process.
PMP Certification is an asset.
Working knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and modelling software InfoWorks ICM, InfoWater, InfoSewer, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS.
2-D modelling expertise (dual-drainage systems) is an asset
ESRI ArcGIS expertise
Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
