Management's objectives are to provide Construction Services tailored to meet individual client's needs through efficient and effective control of its construction projects and budgets accompanied with a team approach in achieving its goal of complete client satisfaction. Active in the commercial, industrial, and institutional fields of construction, M.J. Dixon Construction Ltd. provides a complete General Contracting and Construction Management Service. We are currently hiring for the full-time position of a Project Manager to join our team at our Mississauga head office.
Who you are:
You are an organized and self-motivated individual who can wear many hats supporting the Project Team. You should be known for a great work ethic and be open to change as we are improving our daily process. The role will report to their Project Manager and communicate accurately and specifically as required for the task, issue, or action at hand.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
To create Work Break Down Structures suitable to the program of the Project in accordance with the project specification requirements
Analyze Planning data as required to achieve time based and resource based schedule.
To maintain progress data on assigned Project and to prepare progress reports and Forecasting Systems of Projects
To produce the Project resource Plan as required.
Monitor and update the Engineering deliverable and Trackers.
Monitor and update the Procurement deliverables and Trackers
Monitor and update the Construction schedule and Trackers
Micro plans and work schedules for key major activities
To review the Subcontractors Planning and actual work progress.
Follow up with sub-trades on their /project deliverables.
Identify Critical Path and update the project periodically
Follow the requirements of the project specifications for the preparation of the construction schedule
Desired Candidate Profile:
Engineering background. With minimum 10 years of scheduling /project controls
Computer Proficient
Good working knowledge of Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project planning software
Good Working Experience as a Project Planner in construction projects
Have PMP certifications is advantageous plus other scheduling qualifications
Has the ability and previous experience in managing construction projects
Ability to chair site meetings and coordinate with various stakeholders, trades, consultant, client

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
