A fantastic opportunity has been made available for my General Contractor client for a highly experienced Project Manager with strong experience warehouse/distribution centre construction projects.

Specialising in renovation and new construction projects within the ICI and residential markets within Ontario. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will have the proven experience and knowledge within ICI with strong experience with warehouse/distribution centre construction projects. You will join an innovative company of experienced construction professionals with strong customer relationships and a large portfolio of projects.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This hybrid position will require you to have a thorough understanding of the full construction process, from pre-construction through to the completion of the project. You will be proficient in coordinating teams, exceptional time management skills, the ability to problem solve effectively and delegate tasks. It will be your responsibility to align a team of professionals to guarantee the best quality of work for the client in the timeframe given and on, or under budget. You will be required to:

• Oversee project budget, schedule, quality and delivery of construction to the scope of work.
• Work with estimating and/or pre-construction departments to ensure effective communication relating to project scope.
• Understand the client\xe2\x80\x99s project goals and act as a client liaison, providing high-level of customer service.
• Prepare construction schedules by studying plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting efficiencies.
• Communicate with clients regarding schedule, budget, and change orders.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers with respect to change orders.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with trades.
• Maintain continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Report to the Senior Operations Manager.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 8 years of project management experience (ICI experience).
• Must have experience managing projects with a budget of at least 15 million.
• Proven experience managing a team of at least 5.
• Proven experience using Microsoft office, including Excel and Projects and CMiC.
• Proven experience managing a full cycle of a consturciton project.

COMPENSATION

• Salary range $120,000 to $140,000 depending upon experience.
• 3 weeks vacation.
• Health and dental benefits.
