Position Details
The Project Management Office - Facilities, at the University of Lethbridge, is currently inviting applications for a Full-Time, Continuing Project Manager.
Reporting to the Associate Executive Director, Project Management Office, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing design services and project management expertise for all phases of maintenance, renovation and construction projects.
The successful candidate must be able to:Administer professional services agreements;
Develop project budgets;
Develop contracting strategies;
Determine user requirements and;
Ensure the accurate reflection of those requirements in construction documents.
Other duties include:Preparation of tender documents;
Preparation of contracts;
Contract administration;
Developing cost estimates;
Performing on site construction observations;
Managing the implementation of approved projects within a project management system.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.
Position Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:A University Degree & a minimum of 3 years of experience (all of which should relate to the construction project management or construction experience);
Or a College Diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience (all of which should relate to the construction project management or construction experience);
Project Management qualifications;
Professional designations relevant to the construction industry;
Experience in developing cost estimates for building systems in an institutional or commercial environment would be considered an asset;
Excellent communication and organizational skills;
Ability to exercise independent judgment;
Managing projects on time and on budget.
Equivalent combinations of education and construction experience will be considered.

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$73,110.48 - $91,972.76 annually
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$73,110.48 - $110,835.04 annually (APO - Grade 4)
