Your days will include:

Overseeing multiple capital renovations projects below $1M. Defining scope of project using MOJ (memo of justification), ensuring project meets budget, timeline and quality goals. Continuously tracking/reporting project costs vs budget. Ensuring that all permitting, variance, licenses are in order and posted on sites prior to project start-up. Acquiring multiple quotes for scope of work. Once contractors selected, ensure contracts and liability insurance are in place. Ensuring contractor follows HyLife safety and biosecurity rules. Maintaining contractor schedules and material deliveries, coordinating all site inspections, tracking equipment and warranties, supporting internal people and contractors. Communicating plans and progress with customers and supporting staff (barn manager, production manager/directors). At project end, ensuring documentation (invoice, drawings, project completion sign-offs) are reviewed and completed. Ensure job site is cleaned up. In preparation for following fiscal year budget preparations, assisting in identifying and pricing capital renovation projects.

To succeed in this role you must possess:

Project Management experience required for minimum 5 years preferably in farm environment. Strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills. Well versed with drawings and construction documents. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project. Ability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment. General accounting knowledge, experience with budgeting. Knowledge of building codes. Minimum level of education grade 12. Post-secondary education in Construction and/or Project Management preferred.
