The Unifying Networks to InnovaTE (

UNITE

) project will mobilize an unprecedented team of multidisciplinary scientists, decision-makers, youth and community advocates to improve youth mental health outcomes, because doing so has the capacity to generate greater personal, social and economic benefits than interventions offered at any other time in the lifespan. There can be no health without mental health, making UNITE the best method for broad societal impact. It consists of three critical and interrelated projects on the pathway to societal impact: 1. Optimized Navigation Pathways; 2. Increased Data-driven Insights; 3. Strengthened Whole-of-System Capacity.


Job Summary


Reporting to the Principal Investigators, the Project Manager will work closely with the Principal Investigators and Research Manager and the rest of the team to ensure the timelines, budget and deliverables of the Project are met. They will oversee the day-to-day activities of the core team and the management of all three UNITE research activities and the project work plan including risk mitigation.


Key Responsibilities


Oversees human resources for core UNITE teams (onboarding, team culture, expectations, performance management), day-to-day management of staff - delegating / assigning work related to regular and one-of project activities Lead the planning, execution, and management of the three core UNITE research projects and the work of their associated co-design teams. Implement and manage program schedules and event timelines. Manage program resources and ensure alignment with budget and funding requirements Oversee logistics and planning for UNITE activities such as annual summits, conferences, committee meetings, etc. Develop and implement a comprehensive data collection and metrics strategy to measure program success. Provide reports on key performance indicators to inform future program improvements and funding decisions. Share responsibility for the production of annual reports and other impact reporting with the Communications Manager and Research Manager Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent branding and promotion of UNITE program Serve as chair of the research management committee



Note


The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree with coursework completed in relevant areas (e.g., project planning and management, business, public or health administration, information management, risk management). Project management and/or research coordinator experience. Experience working on highly collaborative and productive teams, supervising full- and part-time individuals. Experience working with digital project management tools (in particular Microsoft project management tools). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience writing for scientific publications and research ethics boards. Self-directed and able to consistently take initiative and multi-task across more than one project; having attention to detail with a high regard for quality, accuracy and organization.



Assets


Interest in advancing mental health promotion and care. Experience in a research environment with a solid understanding of Good Clinical Practice in research and the Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS 2). Experience with sustainability planning. Experience with workshop development, facilitation and/or coaching/leadership development. Experience with data analysis (qualitative and quantitative) and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, NVivo) Experience working with youth.
