Randstad is excited to partner with an Environmental Engineering Consulting Firm who operate throughout Alberta and British Columbia across Reclamation,
Restoration, and Environmental Services. Our client is looking for an experienced Environmental Project Manager, either Intermediate or Senior, to join their growing team. The Environmental Project Manager position is a pivotal role designed for both personal and company growth, offering the chance to support or lead a diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary projects. A large component of this role will see you supporting the Division Manager, Technical and Execution teams to oversee projects, foster growth, and ensure that internal and external client objectives are met. You will also be responsible for achieving project-specific financial goals, ensuring
that timelines and budgets are adhered to, and that technical deliverables are of outstanding quality.Project Portfolio: Projects range from government to privately-owned infrastructure, encompassing all stages from early development to post-construction environmental monitoring and operations.Advantages

This position has the opportunity for significant remote working. Occasional site visits will be required, however, this role will predominately be remote / work from home.Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising Environmental and Reclamation services portfolios under the guidance of the Division Manager
  • Oversee projects, schedules, and budgets using established project management methodologies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in your field, offering technical leadership when needed
  • Lead or support business development activities such as bids and proposals to expand offerings in the reclamation sector
  • Assist the division manager in creating project forecasts, schedules, and plans
  • Regularly participate in leadership meetings and provide updates on various corporate reporting activities (prospective work, ongoing projects, division budgets, and resource needs)
  • Interpret and advise on pertinent environmental management legislation, focusing on BC, AB, and Federal regulatory frameworks
  • Work with leadership and senior technical staff to develop systems, processes, procedures, standards, and tools that reflect industry best practices
  • Provide approval through recognized credentials for projects and regulatory applications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in environmental science, geography, biology, ecology, environmental engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation, with excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Enthusiasm for inspiring and supporting others\' growth through high-quality client service.
  • Prior project management experience in environmental projects within western Canada, including scope and budget preparation, tracking, schedule and task management, change management, and team management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Previous experience in environmental consulting in western Canada.
  • Familiarity with provincial and federal environmental legislation and regulatory requirements related to permitting and Environmental Assessments in western Canada.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
