Position Description
Mercer Celgar is seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to join our Engineering team as a Project Manager, Engineering.

Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution and closure of engineering projects, including process improvements, equipment upgrades and infrastructure enhancements.
Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and resource requirements.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, maintenance and external contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
Manage project budgets, resources and timelines, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues and challenges to minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement, driving excellence in project delivery and operational performance.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project status, risks and milestones.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with preference in Mechanical Engineering.
Registered with a Canadian Engineering Association (EGBC, APEGA, PEO, etc.) as a P.Eng. or EIT.
Minimum 5-years experience in heavy industry with Pulp and Paper experience preferred.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate work activities with input from a wide cross-section of individuals within the organization.
Familiarity with CSA, API, ASME and NBIC codes and standards is an asset.
Experience in providing site-wide engineering expertise is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Salary
The salary for this position is $91,525.00 to $155,799.00. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
