Who We Are
ROHL Global Networks Inc. is a diversified infrastructure company based in Western Canada, with expanding operations across North America. Originally established as a leading provider of telecommunications and utility infrastructure design and construction, ROHL has strategically grown into real estate development and management, solar energy systems, power infrastructure, and digital infrastructure serving enterprise, government, and wholesale clients.
Our team has deep roots in the delivery of telecom central offices, fiber networks, and mission-critical facilities, and we are now applying that expertise to AI data centers, edge-computing facilities, and high-reliability energy systems that support Canada's next generation of digital and energy infrastructure.
From building fiber optic and high-voltage systems to delivering solar farms and enabling AI-driven and edge data centers, ROHL plays a critical role in powering the future of Canada's built environment.
As our organization continues to evolve, we are seeking a skilled and adaptable Project Manager - Energy & Digital Infrastructure with experience or strong familiarity in mission-critical, high-availability environments, including telecom and data center infrastructure.
The Role
The Project Manager - Energy & Digital Infrastructure is responsible for leading the development, execution, and delivery of ROHL's portfolio of small- to mid-scale energy and digital infrastructure projects, including data centers, AI and edge-computing facilities, telecom-adjacent infrastructure, solar, energy storage, and energy efficiency initiatives.
This role spans early-stage development through construction and commissioning, ensuring projects advance efficiently from concept to completion. The Project Manager will work closely with utilities, First Nations partners, engineering consultants, internal technical teams, and construction contractors, while navigating the unique demands of mission-critical environments, evolving scopes, regulatory requirements, and fast-moving market conditions.
Candidates with experience delivering Telecom Central Offices, AI Data Centers, or edge-computing facilities-particularly where power reliability, redundancy, cooling, and uptime are critical--will be strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Development & Delivery
Manage the full project lifecycle, including concept development, feasibility, permitting, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
Lead multiple concurrent projects, typically in the 10-40 MW range, including solar, energy storage, data center power systems, and energy efficiency upgrades.
Apply best practices from telecom and data center environments, including redundancy planning, phased commissioning, and coordination with live or mission-critical systems.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and milestone tracking.
Ensure projects meet cost, schedule, safety, quality, and performance targets.
Digital Infrastructure, Data Center & Mission-Critical Systems
Support projects associated with AI data centers, edge-computing facilities, and telecom-adjacent infrastructure, with a strong focus on power availability, resiliency, and scalability.
Coordinate with engineering teams on electrical distribution, backup generation, energy storage, and interconnection strategies appropriate for mission-critical facilities.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align energy systems with digital infrastructure requirements.
Utility-Scale Solar & Storage
Support the development and execution of utility-scale and behind-the-meter solar and energy storage projects.
Coordinate with engineering firms on system design, interconnection studies, and technical reviews.
Work with utilities, ISOs, and regulators to manage interconnection, permitting, and compliance requirements.
First Nations & Stakeholder Engagement
Work collaboratively with First Nations partners, respecting governance structures, protocols, and partnership agreements.
Support relationship-building with community representatives, landowners, and local stakeholders.
Coordinate technical inputs, documentation, and reporting required for partnership discussions and approvals.
Construction & Field Management
Coordinate construction activities with EPCs, general contractors, and field supervisors.
Monitor construction progress, manage change orders, and resolve field-level issues.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to approved plans, safety standards, and schedules.
Support contractor procurement and contract administration.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as the primary interface between development, engineering, finance, legal, and external consultants.
Translate complex technical information into clear, actionable updates for ROHL leadership.
Prepare concise project updates, decision memos, and executive briefings.
Adaptability & Continuous Improvement
Adapt project plans in response to regulatory, technical, commercial, or site-specific changes.
Identify risks early and propose practical mitigation strategies.
Support continuous improvement of ROHL's project management tools, standards, and delivery processes.
What You Bring
5+ years of Project Management experience in energy, digital infrastructure, telecom, or mission-critical facilities.
Experience with Telecom Central Offices, AI Data Centers, edge-computing facilities, or other high-availability infrastructure is strongly preferred.
PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification is an asset.
Strong understanding of power systems, redundancy, reliability, and commissioning in complex infrastructure environments.
Proven ability to work effectively with First Nations partners and diverse stakeholder groups.
Working knowledge of EPC and construction management, utility coordination and interconnection, and permitting and regulatory processes across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects through both development and construction phases.
Highly adaptable and comfortable operating in early-stage, evolving project environments.
Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
Practical, solution-oriented problem solver.
Collaborative leadership style with strong relationship-building capabilities.
Self-directed, organized, and accountable with strong attention to detail.
