GK Electric is seeking a motivated Project Manager (Electrical) to lead electrical construction projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will manage schedules, budgets, site activities, and teams while ensuring all work complies with the BC Electrical Code, WorkSafeBC, and CSA standards. This role combines technical electrical expertise with strong leadership and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and close electrical construction projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Review electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for accuracy and code compliance.
Manage project schedules, manpower, and resources; monitor progress and address issues proactively.
Oversee on-site activities, conduct regular inspections, and enforce safety and quality standards.
Manage procurement, material coordination, and basic cost tracking.
Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, or similar software for documentation and reporting.
Prepare concise project progress updates for management and stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience managing or supervising electrical construction projects.
Electrical trade background with hands-on site experience preferred.
Working knowledge of the BC Electrical Code, WorkSafeBC, and CSA standards.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
Experience with project scheduling, coordination, and construction management tools.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of construction site safety practices.
Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and reliable transportation.
