Project Manager - Electrical (Allan,SK, Canada)

Reporting to the Mill Engineering Manager, this position will be part of the team responsible for the management of capital and operational projects to support Surface Operations and Maintenance at the Allan Potash site.

What you will do:

• Lead and coordinate industrial electrical focused sustaining capital projects and other projects as assigned. The project manager will guide the project through the stage gate process, from concept development to operation and evaluation
• Review engineering specifications/drawings and propose design modifications to improve safety, reliability, operability, and maintainability within cost and other performance requirements
• Develop project ideas into standard deliverable products ready for the stage gate process
• Create and manage project documents such as the charter, work breakdown structure, cost estimates, schedules, risk registers, and execution plans throughout the project lifecycle
• Be responsible for the creation of scope of work packages for field implementation with support and input from stakeholders and project team resources. Initiate procurement of project materials and resources needed to execute the work
• Participate in long range capital planning, including project evaluation, cost estimating and scoping
• Create clear and attainable project objectives in consultation with stakeholders, sponsors, subject matter experts (SME\'s) and the program manager
• Monitor, manage, and report on project performance - cost, schedule, scope and quality

What you will bring:

• An electrical related technical degree, ticket or diploma from a recognized and accredited institution will be considered an asset
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning & problem-solving skills
• Experience with reading industrial technical drawings will be considered an asset
• 3+ years\' experience in an industrial environment
• Familiarity with maintenance and operations processes considered an asset
• Desire to work towards a PMP designation
• Proficiency with estimating project costs and forecasting cash flows
• Proficiency with Primavera or MS Project scheduling software will be considered an asset
