JLL seeks a skilled Project Manager in Edmonton to support our Western Canada PDS (Project Delivery Service) team. This role will lead day-to-day management of major capital projects in public and private sectors and across diverse portfolios.



We're looking for a professional with strong communication skills and business acumen to interact directly with clients. The ideal candidate will be accomplished in project delivery in all settings - commercial, industrial, retail and manage projects from straight forward office renovations to more complex projects. We will rely on your expertise to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple projects at the same time and multi-disciplinary teams.



This important client-facing position requires situational awareness, diplomacy, and the confidence to liaise with various professionals. The successful candidate will bring energy and passion to our dynamic industry.



WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:



Project Management

Ensuring projects are completed within scope, schedule, budget, and meeting client expectations.

Managing multiple projects in various phases of development.

Negotiating and holding all parties accountable to their contracts.

Managing and coordinating the activities of large project teams including owners, regional and local design consultants, contractors, suppliers, AHJs, security, AV and IT vendors, operators, and other stakeholders.

Coordinating between base building and tenant improvement scope and negotiating with landlords.

Developing, implementing and maintaining specified project management processes.

Proactively communicating with your client; maintaining project status and tracking reports.

Detailed financial and schedule management and reporting.

Utilizing a custom project management platform/technology.

Leading project meetings; ensuring minutes are quickly distributed and properly filed.

Proactively foreseeing and documenting project risks and risk mitigation plans.

Actively troubleshooting, problem solving and tracking project performance indicators.

Managing JLL's financial performance per project

Team Work

Fostering a project environment of accountability, excellence, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.

Energizing, supervising, mentoring, and supporting others on your team.

Relationships

Cultivating new and existing business relationships.

Collaborating with JLL peers, partners and clients.

Building trust with owners, landlords, developers, institutions, consultants, and contractors.

Supporting the pursuit and securing of new projects.

Creating project case studies at or near project completion.

Developing your skills through experience and JLL's internal and external continuing education opportunities.



WHAT YOU BRING:



Minimum of 5+ years of experience, delivering capital real estate "buildings" projects, including new construction, renovations, fit-outs, and/or upgrades.

Post Secondary Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

Must possess "Owner Representative" project management experience in a fee-for-service consulting environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate, responsive, and highly organized.

Skilled at MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience with MS Project, P6, or other scheduling software.

Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset.

P.Eng. is an asset.

Sustainability designation such as LEED, CSP, ENV SP is an asset.
