They are partnering with Robert Half in their search for an experienced and solutions oriented Project Manager, with a specialization in process engineering. You think expansively and have a talent for combining novel ideas in unique ways to generate innovative solutions.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will be instrumental in the oversight of multiple initiatives including the expansion of manufacturing form one facility into two. Working in collaboration with the research and development team and at of professionals, you will ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, while ensuring compliance with associated GMP regulations.

What the day to day looks like:

\xc2\xb7 Management of projects within a multi-disciplinary engineering and process development team.

\xc2\xb7 Mechanical design of plant and process improvements.

\xc2\xb7 Hands-on troubleshooting of plant design, construction and commissioning in collaboration with local and global partners.

\xc2\xb7 Liaison with ABSA regarding plant pressure vessels, piping and safety equipment.

\xc2\xb7 Administration of vessel and piping inspections, repairs and alterations

Requirements

How you will make an impact in this role:

  • Embrace, comply and promote current Plant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies related to engineering and production operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the R& D and production teams.
  • Provide leadership and project management for process and equipment improvements including support for new product launches.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation such as mechanical drawings, P& IDs and SOPs.
  • Support Quality Assurance in conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions as part of the technical team.
  • Support the maintenance of equipment files including regular inspections and maintenance as per the applicable codes and standards.
  • Identify and support initiatives for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you bring to the team:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (mechanical or chemical preferred).
  • Registered with APEGA as P. Eng.
  • 5+ years of experience in a chemical processing environment.
  • Chemical process design, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Process safety, risk identification and hazard control
  • High pressure gases and fluids
  • ABSA certification process
  • 3D MCAD and 2D drafting (SolidEdge and AutoCAD)
  • Instrumentation and controls experience
