Job purpose

Manage and control the project in terms of delivery, time, cost and quality from the point of handover from Sales up until handover to the client and Nordex Service, in accordance to the contract

Key accountabilities

• Support the Sales organization in the tender process and facilitate a smooth transitional handover from Sales to Project Management
• Execution of a portfolio of projects on-time and within budget
• Manage and monitor all aspects of the environment and health & safety
• First contact for all stakeholders, such as clients, subcontractors, suppliers and any other internal or external departments
• Representing the Nordex organization to our clients - creating a good relationship with the client and delivering customer satisfaction
• Negotiations and with subcontractors and suppliers as well as contract management of both
• Responsible for contract and claim management towards clients and subcontractors
• Define and manage project and site teams, including subcontractors and key suppliers, including but not limited to crane & erection and transportation companies throughout the project execution phase
• Securing correct project handling and creating a successful team with team members from various departments such as central engineering, logistics, site management, commissioning engineer, erection supervisors
• Secure project configuration in SAP, secure supply chain by following up component procurement and availability with regards to the project schedule
• Monitor and safeguard required level of quality throughout erection, finishing and commissioning works within given budget and time frame
• Define and initiate appropriate corrective actions for problems encountered during the execution of the project (related to cost, time and/or quality)
• Creating necessary transparency with regards to an optimization of cost- effectiveness in cooperation with Commercial Project Management.
• Accountable for providing progress reports on projects with a monthly status report incl. reporting to the Area PM with regards to HSE, quality, cost, progress of the works, claims, installed equipment and quality
• Accountable for reports measuring performance and KPIs
• Facilitate a smooth handover to colleagues in Service, at the same time as handover to the client
• Frequent travel within UK & IRE is part of the job

• Significant demonstrable experience as a Project Manager in operative project execution and construction management for complex technical projects either in civil construction, manufacturing, plant engineering and utilities. Ideally has previous experience within the wind energy sector within UK & IE and/or similar industries/energy sectors; experience with turnkey projects preferable;
• Demonstrable experience of managing significant budgets in complex projects
• contracts with strong commercial and financial acumen;
• Lead the delivery of large, complex and technically challenging projects with utility scaled clients would be advantageous.

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Excellent computer skills are required, especially MS Office, MS Project.
• Technical background with a Bachelor\'s and/or Master\'s degree in engineering (highly desirable)
