Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW


We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a proven track record of successfully overseeing multiple projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, tendering, coordinating, and managing multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Pre-Construction



Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, stakeholders and Owners to provide constructability reviews. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies. Prepare scopes of work for tendering and tender projects based on project-specific requirements. Prepare trade contracts for execution.

Construction



Oversee all phases of construction from site mobilization to handover. Work alongside Site Superintendents to manage on-site construction. Review shop-drawings/material submissions for completion and compliance. Approve and track project expenditures and invoices. Maintain a detail account of project costs measured against the project budget including forecasts for final costs throughout the project. Chair and minute meetings as required. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for project stakeholders. Monitor project progress and make adjustments to keep projects on track. Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders. Prepare, issue and track all CCA documentation including RFIs, Submittals, Contemplated Change Notices, Change Orders and Purchase Orders. Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with project specifications and standards.

Post-Construction



Manage deficiencies in collaboration with the Site Superintendent. Organize and prepare O&M manuals

QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management. Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. PMP or similar certification is an asset. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including excel, MS Projects and Word.
