Earls Kitchen + Bar is seeking a Project Manager, Construction to join our Store Development team in Vancouver, BC. As a Project Manager, Construction at Earls, you will play a critical role in overseeing and executing new store builds, major renovations, and department-wide process improvements. Reporting to the Vice President of Construction, you will collaborate closely with the Store Development team, providing leadership in site discovery, project planning, budgeting, and execution.



This role is responsible for supporting and mentoring the Construction team, optimizing workflows, and ensuring all projects align with Earls' strategic vision. With a focus on efficiency, innovation, and excellence, you will directly contribute to Earls' continued expansion across North America.

Role Responsibilities





Lead project development by managing team meetings, landlord and real estate milestones, and aligning on budget and construction implications. Manage General Contractor, schedule, and budget to ensure project quality and timeline. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and building surveys to identify site constraints, risks, and high-level budgeting considerations. Develop HVAC and building system strategies, ensuring alignment with project requirements and long-term operational efficiency. Oversee Architectural, MEPS, Millwork, and General Contracting deliverables, ensuring coordination across all disciplines. Manage construction documentation, including Architectural & MEPS drawing reviews, tender preparation, and integration of Earls' FF&E requirements. Evaluate general contractor tenders and level bids and execute CCDC or AIA contracts, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality project execution. Oversee construction progress by tracking contractor, sub-trade, and vendor milestones while maintaining up-to-date financials and schedules. Ensure timely submission and receipt of all permits, addressing compliance, municipal requirements, and regulatory approvals. Manage procurement, logistics, and tracking of FF&E, ensuring seamless acquisition, delivery, and installation according to project schedules. Oversee RFIs, change management, and submission processes, ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution of issues. Lead construction closeout, including budget reconciliation, deficiency tracking, and acquisition of as-built drawings, OEM manuals, and warranty items. Strengthen partnerships with contractors, sub-trades, and vendors, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing procurement strategies. Support project managers in budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring construction documents align with company standards and best practices. Provide direct mentorship and training to team members, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement in new build and renovation processes.
Travel to project sites across North America, averaging once per month, to interface with consultants, contractors, vendors, landlords, and municipal staff, ensuring project execution remains on schedule and within budget.



Qualifications





5+ years of experience in construction project management within the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry. A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Development Planning. Strong expertise in procurement and logistics management, with a focus on construction and hospitality. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, including architectural, structural, MEP, and kitchen equipment plans. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SmartSheets, Bluebeam, and Adobe Pro; experience with AutoCAD, ProCore, or MS Project is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional organization and attention to detail. Proven track record of managing multiple projects across North America and leading diverse project teams. Experience in department leadership and team management is an asset. Willingness and ability to travel within North America (approximately 40% of the time) to oversee project sites.
