We specialize in multi-unit residential and commercial construction. We're a small but fast-growing company with a strong pipeline of developments and a clear need: we're ready to professionalize and streamline our operations -- and we're looking for someone to lead that charge.
This role isn't just about managing projects -- it's about building the project management framework itself. We currently operate without formalized systems or software for estimating, scheduling, tracking, or project reporting. That's where you come in.
If you're a builder of systems, not just buildings -- someone who thrives on creating order, implementing tools, and establishing efficient workflows -- we want to hear from you.
The Opportunity: Build Our PMO from the Ground Up
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape how our construction projects are run. You'll work closely with the owner and site superintendent to design and implement the processes, tools, and systems that will guide our operations going forward.
You'll also manage multiple projects yourself -- from budgeting to permitting to working with trades -- while simultaneously developing our internal project management practices.
What You'll Do
Framework & Systems Development (Core Focus)
Design and implement a scalable project management framework for construction operations
Identify, evaluate, and implement PM software tools (estimating, scheduling, budgeting, document management, etc.)
Develop templates, systems, and standardized workflows to increase efficiency
Recommend improvements in planning, reporting, and cross-team communication
Project Management Duties
Manage construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
Create and track budgets, schedules, and critical milestones
Review and interpret blueprints and specifications
Coordinate with owner, site super, sub-trades, consultants, and authorities
Handle permit applications, zoning issues, Fire Marshall coordination
Work with AP to review and approve subcontractor invoices
Assist with financing documents (e.g., CMHC, loan monitors, bank reporting)
Strategic & Liaison Role
Act as key link between site operations and ownership
Help evaluate potential new developments and prepare for project launch
Support long-term planning and resource forecasting
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who can manage construction projects confidently, build internal systems strategically, and take initiative without hand-holding. You're hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-moving environments.
Must-Have Experience
3+ years in construction project management, preferably with multi-unit experience
Strong knowledge of construction budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and sub-trade coordination
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs
Experience implementing (or using) PM software and digital tools
Organized, self-starting, and solutions-oriented
Valid driver's license
Nice-to-Haves
Experience building or formalizing a PMO or operational framework
Knowledge of CMHC or bank construction financing
Bilingual in English/French (not mandatory)
PMP Certification/PMI Membership
