About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our construction projects, ensuring seamless execution from planning to handover. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, small-team setting and has a passion for construction excellence. You'll report directly to the owners and collaborate with our skilled tradespeople, subcontractors, and clients to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage projects through the entire lifecycle from inception to completion, including developing plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet client expectations and company goals.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects progress smoothly and on schedule.
Monitor site activities, conduct regular inspections, and resolve any on-site issues to maintain quality standards and safety compliance (e.g., adhering to Ontario Building Code and OHSA regulations).
Track project costs, forecast expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns to build long-term relationships.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Prepare and submit progress reports, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders as needed.
Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays or disruptions.
Support business development by contributing to bids, proposals, and site assessments for new opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of project management experience in construction, preferably in residential or commercial sectors.
Proven track record of managing projects valued at $500K+ from start to finish.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of GTA construction regulations, permitting processes, and sustainable building practices.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, drawings and plans.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
PMP, Gold Seal, or similar certification is a plus.
Valid driver's license (company vehicle will be provided).
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
