Project Manager Construction & Capital Planning

We have an exciting new role at Aramark, that needs your expertise. We are looking for a Project Manager - Construction & Capital Planning. You will be responsible for the overall leadership, planning and execution of mobilizing new accounts and construction projects. The position will have the responsibility for developing and monitoring the allocation of resources against a defined mobilization and/or capital construction plan. The position acts as a key liaison with Aramark\'s clients across Canada and is responsible to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, in the developing and executing strategic capital and mobilization plans. This position is part of our Growth team and reports into the Senior Director, Growth Enablement & Business Process Facility Services.

Job Responsibilities

Construction Management & Capital Planning (45%)

  • Provides overall leadership to Aramark\'s capital program management programs.
  • Oversite of multiple capital projects from initial planning through construction
  • Lead and oversee the coordination of project activities with multiple client departments to ensure all parties are well-informed and that work proceeds on schedule with minimal impact.
Support Account Mobilization (25%)
  • Lead the preparation and execution of project plans, budgets, resources, and schedules for assigned mobilizations and capital projects.
  • Lead opening team(s) by building and managing nuances inclusive of timelines, including identifying needs and necessary accountability partners.
  • Manage handoffs with various stakeholder to appropriate local team


Third Party Contract Management (15%)
  • Coordinate activities with various contractors, Aramark personnel, external brand partners and client staff.
  • Document and escalate any performance issues (quality, timing, budget etc.
Budgets and Cost Management (15%)
  • Develop project budgets, predict end costs and control expenditures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in engineering, construction management or construction-related program
  • Superior communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal.)
  • Bilingual considered an asset.
  • Thorough understanding of the project management process (planning, design, construction, and closeout)
  • Working knowledge of Building Codes, Life Safety Codes & Accessibility Standards.
  • The ability to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals and other technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in CAD desirable.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet desirable.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated success in leading people and projects.
  • Facilities Capital Planning and scenario development experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of comprehensive project budgets and extensive knowledge of project financial monitoring, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience in leading projects through the regulatory and approval process including Public Health, permitting, building inspectors, fire marshals and other provincial and local authorities having jurisdiction as well as coordination of project close-out.
  • Experience in the selection of contractors and/or construction management firms, contracting arrangements and construction oversight responsibilities.
