is local, and family owned, industrial manufacturing facility that was established in 1989 in

Ottawa, Ontario

to provide the fast-growing market with high quality Precast Concrete products on time and at a competitive price. Our precast products include circular and elliptical concrete pipe, circular and box maintenance holes, catch basin, highway barriers, box culverts, oil grit separators, and gravity retaining wall systems.

Overview:



We are looking for an experienced

Project Manager

. The primary responsibilities include providing project leadership/technical support/guidance and ensuring the proper exchange of information within the engineering team, managing overall communication among project team members, and ensuring effective coordination between the different departments involved in design and production processes. The Project Manager will also lead any complex/custom projects as required and provide oversight, advice and guidance to the Project Coordinators and BIM/CAD Technicians, throughout the project and production processes. Demonstrates a clear understanding and knowledge of all manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:



Working closely with Project Coordinators, BIM/CAD Technicians, Engineers, Estimating, and Production staff to deliver products on time, with an emphasis on accuracy and customer service. Directing multiple projects simultaneously from when they are awarded and then through the design, approval, hardware procurement (if necessary), production, and delivery stages. Be the primary customer contact for each job from award to installation of finished goods on site. Lead customer-facing communication, including organizing and facilitating virtual and in-person meetings, to ensure exceptional customer service and strengthen client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Share their knowledge and experience with current project coordinators to develop their skills. Work with the engineering team to streamline department processes and look for efficiencies. Maintain accurate project documentation in CRM and ERP systems. Perform detail material quantity take-offs. Ensure products are being designed in accordance with design standards. Ensure that all work completed by the engineering team is completed accurately. Coordinate the approval and purchase of specialty hardware included with our products. Assist with the completion of estimates, estimate reviews and costing. As required, prepare plant shop drawings for manufacturing in MH Pro. Communicate with general/site contractors, consulting engineers and external sales representatives including responding to questions or inquiries about project status, concerns, or other requests for information. As required, conduct job site visits (with clients as required) where products being installed. Project lead on any complex or custom projects as required including consulting with Estimating during completion of Custom Product Proposals. Contribute to the detailing and designing of fabrication projects in the plant as required. Help maintain library of standard shop drawings. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Education Required:

Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma, preferably in Engineering or Construction Engineering Technician program. Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Years of experience:

5 years in a project manager position or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specific Experience:



Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, prepare working drawings. Demonstrated experience in preparing project schedules and contributing to the development of engineering specifications and drawings. 3D Computer aided engineering, AutoCAD, MS Excel. Solid understanding of estimating processes. Proven knowledge of drainage and irrigation systems, pipelines, roadways, and highways, sewers, and sewage treatment facilities. Experience with structural engineering, construction design, and supervision.

Remuneration package:



Salary commensurate with experience (Range $75-90K) Permanent/Full-time (42.5 hours/week) Annual Bonus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
