Job Description


The Toronto Central (North) Regional Cancer Program (TCN RCP) is responsible for implementing provincial standards and programs for cancer care and ensuring service providers meet the requirements and targets set out in their partnership agreements with Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario. The TCN RCP is based out of the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and works closely with partner organizations in the region.The Odette Cancer Centre and TCN RCP is seeking a Project Manager - Care Innovation and Strategy who will play a pivotal role in driving the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at improving care delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. This position requires a strong background in healthcare project management, innovation, and strategic thinking, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver transformative projects. You will collaborate with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to design, implement, and monitor programs that enhance the quality of care and patient experience. In addition, the TCN RCP is integrating two additional hospital networks into the region and this stream of work will be a key focus for this role over the next two years.Job Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Lead and manage strategic planning for the Odette Cancer Centre and TCN RCP\xc2\xb7 Lead and manage the integration of additional healthcare organizations to the TCN RCP ensuring a smooth transition and building a strong foundation to achieve regional cancer care priorities with key partners\xc2\xb7 Lead multiple healthcare innovation and care delivery projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.\xc2\xb7 Drive the development and execution of innovative strategies to improve patient care and optimize healthcare delivery systems.\xc2\xb7 Provide leadership in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing new care models, technologies, and processes to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.\xc2\xb7 Analyze data and performance metrics to assess the impact of care innovation projects, making recommendations for scaling or adjusting initiatives.\xc2\xb7 Act as a thought leader in care innovation by staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in healthcare strategy.\xc2\xb7 Develop and deliver presentations to leadership to facilitate effective decision-making on objectives and plans\xc2\xb7 Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders at the regional and provincial level\xc2\xb7 Ensuring appropriate engagement with patients, families and caregivers in the implementation of projectsKey Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree and Masters in health and/or quality related field is required (MBA, MPH, MHA)
  • 7+ years of experience in project management within healthcare, including significant experience with care innovation or strategy initiatives
  • Strong leadership, relationship building, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage large scale projects/change that involves interdisciplinary clinical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, cancer care, policy and regulations
