We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Project Manager to manage a diverse mix of projects, including real estate development applications, First Nations and municipal infrastructure projects, and institutional level capital projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day project coordination, stakeholder communication, and delivery of projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
A background in architecture is highly valued, and candidates who are licensed Architects (OAA, RAIC, or equivalent) will be considered strong assets.
Key Responsibilities
Real Estate Development
Coordinate planning and development applications (zoning, site plan approval, permits, etc.).
Work with consultants, architects, engineers, and municipal staff to keep approvals and submissions on schedule.
Track project milestones, prepare progress reports, and maintain project files.
Support and manage infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, roads, community facilities).
Build and maintain relationships with First Nations partners, municipal staff, and funding agencies.
Monitor compliance with funding agreements, technical standards, and community priorities.
Institutional Capital Projects
Assist in planning and execution of capital projects for healthcare, educational, and cultural institutions.
Prepare tender documents, coordinate procurement processes, and oversee construction activities.
Support project commissioning, close-out, and reporting.
General Project Management
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
Monitor consultant and contractor performance, reporting issues promptly.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and record decisions, next steps, and accountability.
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and organizational procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Professional Designation:
Licensed Architect (OAA, RAIC, AIBC, or equivalent) preferred. PMP or equivalent project management certification is an asset.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive project management experience.
Experience coordinating development applications and working with municipal and/or First Nations authorities.
Background in delivering capital or infrastructure projects valued at $1M+.
Skills:
Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, or similar project management tools.
Financial literacy and comfort with budgets and cost tracking.
