JOB PURPOSE

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the project solution components from initiation to post implementation. You must have experience with managing client relationships and an ability to engage in high level business discussions related to business solutions as required. Project Managers must make recommendations to senior management as required and be able to manage, support, guide, and provide leadership to team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all aspects of delivery including project initiation, planning, scope and budget management, client management, change requests, customer satisfaction, and profitability
  • Communicate and reinforce the project methodologies and standards, as well as develop or manage all project documentation as required
  • Develop and maintain cost estimates, integrated project plans, work breakdown structures as well as associated timelines, resource plans, and any other documentation required to control the project budget
  • Accountable for completion of the Statement of Work in support of a sales proposal and must create, deliver, and negotiate change orders when appropriate
  • Direct the project team, lead them through problem determination, and issue resolutions as required
  • Identify and manage risks to project delivery
  • Monitor all testing and implementation activities, ensuring that all phases/aspects of testing are covered based on the project
  • Negotiate changes with customers as required
  • Interact with the executive team on a regular and timely basis; accurately provide all necessary inputs for the project review process
  • Assume responsibility for leading, monitoring, and reviewing the overall progress and performance of assigned team members
  • Identify new consulting opportunities within your client base
  • Produce high quality, accurate and timely project reports.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
  • 5+ years of practical experience as a Project Manager with a major consulting firm or systems integration firm
  • ERP experience would be an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Passionate and energetic about your work and how you service your clients
  • Resourceful and confident under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal: clear, concise and error-free (able to communicate concepts and details to both the client and the consulting team)
  • Ability to initiate and develop new business opportunities
  • Must be highly professional with clients and colleagues
  • Must be a self-starter who can properly manage time and commitments
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and view change positively
  • Experienced in consulting business clients with a focus on business modeling and software implementation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Project and other tools that support project management
  • Good understanding of all major activities for a business system implementation such as analysis, design, development, and deployment
  • Team leadership experience
  • Familiar and experienced in: Scope Management, Resource Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Quality Management, Issue Management Budget
  • Must be comfortable working on client sites and willing and able for regular domestic and international travel.
