Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and client-focused
Project Manager
who can take ownership of day-to-day operations and ensure the seamless delivery of projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional communication, planning, and leadership skills and is committed to representing DSD's values of professionalism, empathy, and accountability.
This position requires a

who can manage multiple priorities, think ahead, communicate effectively, and take full responsibility for both project results and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Leadership Expectations
Maintain open, proactive communication -- no surprises or missed updates.

Daily Operations & Reporting
Submit daily timesheets and project updates promptly.
Track and report mileage and supply usage accurately.
Ensure all checklists (planning, execution, and wrap-up) are fully completed.
Maintain organized records of each project (digital and physical, where required).
Attend weekly management meetings prepared with updates, lessons learned, and ideas for improvement.
Project Planning
Conduct client walk-throughs and finalize packing/moving/donation/disposal plans.
Document all details, damages, and special instructions; communicate them clearly to the team and owner.
Confirm supplies, truck/elevator bookings, dump bins, and additional services.
Prepare a detailed project execution plan (including team assignments, timeline, and supply list) and submit it at least two business days before the project start.
Confirm staff scheduling and hours with the owner in advance.
Collect deposits and signed agreements where applicable.
Ensure all planning checklists are completed before project launch.
Project Execution & Supervision
Conduct an on-site kick-off meeting to review the day's plan, assignments, and client expectations.
Supervise all team members; ensure care and professionalism when handling client property.
Monitor pace and efficiency throughout the day; make on-the-spot adjustments as needed.
Maintain accountability: address performance issues or miscommunication immediately and professionally. Discretion may be needed.
Report to the owner twice daily (midday and at end of day) via call, text, or email -- no exceptions.
Notify the owner immediately if a project is behind schedule, over budget, or if the client expresses concerns.
Take photos or short videos of the completed work, problem areas, and any damages for documentation purposes.
Ensure each day ends with a completed task list and organized site.
Post-Engagement Duties
Conduct a final walk-through with the client to confirm satisfaction.
Review and report the supply bin contents to the owner.
Submit staff feedback, time logs, and performance notes within 24 hours of completion.
Assist with final invoice delivery and collection of outstanding balances.
Complete post-engagement questionnaire and debrief with the owner.
Estate Sales
Photograph, measure, and research pricing for sale items.
Post listings to Shopify or other designated platforms.
Track sales and manage communications with buyers.
Organize and supervise on-site sale days (usually Saturdays).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date sale inventory lists.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, moving, or project management.
Demonstrated ability to lead small teams in fast-paced environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Experience working with seniors or in customer-facing roles is an asset.

Compensation & Work Conditions
Hourly Rate:
$22-$25/hour plus 3%-5% commission (after probation).
Benefit:

Typical Hours:
20-30 per week, with flexibility for slower periods (less hours) and busier periods (5-6 consecutive days).
