JLL is seeking a skilled Project Manager to support specialized projects in the oil & gas sector in Calgary, AB. This role will lead day-to-day management of major projects for an energy sector client, ranging from facility upgrades and expansions to complex infrastructure developments in remote operational settings. We're looking for a professional with strong communication skills and business acumen to interact directly with our oil & gas client while managing multi-disciplinary teams in demanding operational environments. The successful candidate will bring energy and passion to supporting critical infrastructure operations.



WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations while maintaining operational continuity in active facilities

Manage multiple projects across remote and operational sites, coordinating large project teams including the client's operations teams, design consultants, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities

Negotiate contracts and hold all parties accountable, including specialized energy sector contractors

Develop and maintain project management processes tailored to energy sector requirements and safety protocols

Provide proactive client communication, detailed financial and schedule management, and executive reporting for high-value energy sector projects

Lead project meetings ensuring compliance with the client's safety protocols and manage project risks including operational, environmental, and regulatory considerations

Foster a project environment of accountability, excellence, and innovation while prioritizing safety culture

Cultivate business relationships within the energy sector and collaborate with JLL peers, partners and clients

Build trust with energy operators, specialized contractors, regulatory bodies, and industry consultants

Support pursuit and securing of new projects while positioning JLL as a leader in energy sector project management services

Create project case studies showcasing energy sector expertise and develop skills through continuing education opportunities



WHAT YOU BRING (REQUIRED):

Minimum of 5+ years of experience delivering projects in oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial environments, including facility upgrades, expansions, and infrastructure projects

Post Secondary Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field

Must possess "Owner Representative" project management experience in energy sector or heavy industrial consulting environment

Knowledge of Alberta OH&S regulations and energy sector safety protocols

Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate, responsive, and highly organized

Skilled at MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) o Experience with MS Project, P6, or other scheduling software



WHAT YOU BRING (PREFERRED):

oProject Management Professional (PMP) certification o

P.Eng. designation

Sustainability designation such as LEED, CSP, ENV SP

Experience with energy sector regulatory compliance (AER, environmental assessments) Knowledge of specialized energy sector systems and infrastructure
