In this role, you will be a part of the Land Development Team in EXP's Calgary office. We are currently currently looking for a Project Manager to join their team. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Western Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future. This is a full time position reporting to the Manager, Land Development.What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Responsible as main client contact for Land Development Projects assigned and responsible in managing project execution through completion
• Manage existing and develop new client relationships
• Work with clients and project teams to meet scheduled project milestones and deliverables
• Coordinate with other disciplines (Geotechnical, Environmental, Transportation, Legal) as required
• Provide detailed engineering design oversight and input on the design process for key complex projects, including providing support to Project Engineers and other design team members as required
• Liaise with clients, municipal approving authorities and contractors, as required
• Review, sign and seal reports/drawings as required
• Review project designs, specifications, and contract documents.
• Monitor project schedule and budgets within your area of responsibility and report the status as required on a regular basis
• Pursue the obtaining of all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities and provincial (Alberta) agencies
• Have working knowledge/understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Participate in business development efforts including writing and pricing proposal efforts, securing new projects/clients, as needed
• Lead a team of design and field staff, including directing, coordinating, and reviewing work done by staff
• Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all sites and report to Manager and Joint Health and Safety Committee Members

What your experience looks like

• 5 to 10 years of experience in the Land Development industry, with a focus on land development projects
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Technologist, or eligible for registration
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Fully conversant with Microsoft software applications
• Strong detail orientation
• Organized, works well under pressure and able to deal with situations with tact
• A valid driver's license and vehicle is required
• Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams
• Ability to multi-task is critical, must enjoy meeting deadlines
• Customer service orientation is critical
