Purpose of Role: The Project Manager will manage limited quantity of Made-to-Order and smaller Engineered-to-Order concurrent projects involving established protocols and procedures. They will plan the overall project activities, manage design change process, and supervise and coordinate all cross-functional activities required to execute the project, whether done in house or by suppliers/subcontractors. They will also be responsible for actively managing the Revenue Recognition, Invoicing and Gross Margin expectation for each project and reporting to senior management in a timely fashion, any potential negative impacts to allow for mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus Area: Approve and release Purchase Requisitions and coordinate with the Purchasing Department to ensure all services and materials are ordered in a timeframe consistent with the master timeline and ensures proper Engineering Specifications have been established, to define clear \xe2\x80\x9cacceptance criteria\xe2\x80\x9d for Suppliers/Quality Assurance in execution of Weir Minerals Purchase Orders.
  • Focus Area: Provide support to the Sales and Product Management Departments in quoting new and repair jobs for Engineered Products; participate in the sign off and acceptance of new orders in accordance with the Quote/Contract Review Procedures.
  • Focus Area: Schedules, maintains, minutes and conducts Project Meetings with all team members responsible for successfully meeting customer requirements, assuring conformance to ISO9001 procedures including timely reporting of Budgets, Timelines, Open Issues Lists, Meeting Minutes and supporting documentation for all aspects of Engineered Products.
  • Focus Area: Exercises initiative and independent judgement in selecting and interpreting information, handling deviations from standard methods and resolving problems, making recommendations and works with senior team members on major project deviations.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or EPC related industry
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • SAP experience required
