The Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in telecom IT projects, with at least 5 years in billing migration or transformation programs will lead a large-scale

billing system migration

for a Tier 1 telecom operator. This role requires strong expertise in telecom billing platforms, end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation. The candidate will ensure seamless migration from legacy systems to the new billing platform while maintaining service continuity and compliance.


Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:



Project Planning & Execution:

+ Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for the billing migration program.
+ Define scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals.

Stakeholder Management:

+ Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
+ Conduct regular status meetings and provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, and issues.

Billing Migration Expertise:

+ Oversee migration of customer accounts, rating, charging, invoicing, and payment systems.
+ Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance during migration.

Risk & Issue Management:

+ Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
+ Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Quality Assurance & Testing:

+ Coordinate UAT, SIT, and regression testing for migrated billing components.
+ Validate billing accuracy post-migration and ensure zero revenue leakage.

Vendor & Partner Coordination:

+ Manage third-party vendors involved in billing platform implementation.
+ Ensure SLAs and contractual obligations are met.

Compliance & Governance:

+ Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
+ Maintain documentation for audits and compliance checks.



Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience:



Telecom Domain Expertise:

+ Strong understanding of telecom billing systems (e.g., Amdocs, Ericsson BSCS, Netcracker, etc.).
+ Knowledge of rating, charging, mediation, and invoicing processes.

Project Management Skills:

+ Proven experience in managing large-scale IT transformation or migration projects.
+ Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
+ PMP / PRINCE2 certification preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

+ Familiarity with data migration tools, ETL processes, and integration frameworks.
+ Understanding of OSS/BSS architecture and APIs.

Soft Skills:

+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. * 10+ years of experience in telecom IT projects, with at least 5 years in billing migration or transformation programs.
