The Opportunity

Reporting to the SVP, Operations, the Project Manager has accountability for the end-to-end requirements gathering through delivery of business-driven projects. This role will be the critical right hand to the SVP Operations, accountable to initiate (gather/defining requirements, mock ups), plan (work timelines & resourcing with business and technical teams), and govern projects through to execution including UAT, change management and ultimate operationalization of the project/initiative. You will be acting as a Business Analyst, Project Manager or both across multiple projects and initiatives occurring simultaneously.

The Project Manager will be responsible for understanding the longer-term objectives of the Business and Software Roadmap and leverage best practices and methodology to provide the required solutions. This role is for a highly skilled \xe2\x80\x9cdoer\xe2\x80\x9d, who enjoys deeply understanding and improving business processes, including mapping/building requirements, and then managing the project through implementation, ensuring the business need is ultimately met.

The Role

Project Management owns end-to-end initiative delivery and change management. The Project Manager must ensure projects have rock solid requirements, delivered on time, on budget, with quality and are fully implemented and adopted.

  • Accountable for project intake, concept, requirements, mock ups, documentation, and estimation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define project requirements, business objectives, stakeholder involvement, communication expectations etc.
  • Ensures appropriate organization, governance, decision making, and delivery structures are in place to drive outcomes articulated in the business case, business requirements, and change management plan.
  • Performs regular delivery risk reviews and support the project teams with escalations and resolutions as required.
  • Ensures software delivery meets high quality standards. Ensures change management and operational readiness is in place and any transition to business teams are complete.
  • Establish project structure and reporting relationships, ensure that everybody understands the project goals and his/her role and responsibilities
  • Encourage good working relationships among all project team members, motivate and resolve conflicts.
  • Organize project artifacts (documents, wikis) and create documents (meeting notes, process maps, wireframes) that enhance understanding and increase coordination.
  • Implement good project governance \xe2\x80\x93 budget, timeline, resources, scope, change control, task tracking/ticketing.


Stakeholder Management

Organize and maintain effective communication, within project team and with stakeholders and business.
  • Facilitate project prioritization and decisions.
  • Creates reusable process or work products. Make/propose improvements to current delivery methodology, work products, services, or processes.
  • Effectively coach/counsel others and provide feedback to improve performance.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in project delivery by organizing and delivery complex work efforts.


What Are We Looking For?
  • 3+ years of project management experience spanning multiple areas of business operations and disciplines.
  • 3+ years of business analysis experience spanning multiple areas of business operations and disciplines.
  • University degree in Business, Computer Science or other related field.
  • PMP or similar certification is an asset.
  • Exceptional ability to see how the \xe2\x80\x9cdots\xe2\x80\x9d connect across business processes, systems, and/or teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer expectations when leading projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large initiatives with multiple functional and technical capabilities.
  • Experience working in Lean / Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of following tool sets:

o SW Project Management tools (Jira, Gitlab, GitHub, Asana, Etc.)
o Data Analysis Tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, Jupyter, Python, R, Etc.)
o MS Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Project, Etc.)
o Wire Framing and Diagraming Tools (Balsamiq, Axure, Figma, Sketch, Lucidchart, Visio, Miro etc)
  • Mixture of strong business acumen and project delivery skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicting situations with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment.




Work Environment
  • MZ offices are open Monday to Friday and employees are expected to work on site a minimum of 4 days per week, with the option of working remotely 1 day per week, as agreed to by the direct supervisor.

Salary

$95,000 - $110,000 per annum.

Compensation
$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
