Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Building Automation Systems. The Project Manager will oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion and manage all elements of a project including: scope, budget schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources while maintaining the required level of quality for all assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Designer and Operations Manager on engineering design, produce engineering shop drawings and as built drawings.
  • Analyze current work procedures and standards and continue to enhance them. Assist Operations Manager to build standards and commission procedures.
  • Manage BAS projects to match scope of work and within budget and in line with project complete date.
  • Provide accurate quotations on smaller projects or change orders based on bidding document and Engineer\'s specs drawing as well as team performance history data.
  • Provide project site performance data and case study and assist Operations Manager with creating standard procedures and technical documents.
  • Provide technical support to Field Technicians as well as Junior Designer. Analyze customer\'s needs, Engineer\'s specs, and floor plan.
  • Determine system objectives and requirements to develop solutions for new or existing applications.
  • Review job construction plans and specifications, survey information, sales sketches, estimates, take off sheets.
  • Design building control systems including DDC controller system sequences. Create control drawings, valve sizing, damper sizing and schedules. Prepare submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met.
  • Review submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead team to obtain Hardware submittal approval
  • Provide technical assistance to Sales team in the analysis and interpretation of job documents and code requirements during the bidding and estimation phase.
  • Review and update BAS software algorithms and graphic standards.
  • Collect feedback from the Installation Electricians and Project Lead Techs and Technician to improve project document quality to ensure project runs smoothly, efficiently and on schedule, as per codes, specifications and company standards.
  • Lead Project Technicians.
  • Control and monitor project costs. Update all necessary cost changes regarding labour, material and subcontractors.
  • Work closely and collaborate with other departments.
  • Bring together the various project stakeholders, encourage mutual collaboration and build a positive team environment and apply agile methods.
  • Think critically to innovate, improve current processes and schedules while focusing on finding solutions.
  • Able to handle and coordinate multiple diverse assignments or projects and tasks successfully and ensure smooth operations
Requirements and Skills:
  • University Degree or College Diploma.
  • Technical / Engineering background is an asset.
  • 5+ years in a Project Management role
  • Ability to effectively communicate and deal with all levels of stakeholders (Leadership, Management, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Suppliers, Customers).
  • Strong planner with attention to detail.
  • Strategic (long-term) and Tactical (daily).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Some technical knowledge in Building Automation Systems is highly preferred.
